I had reached the point of TOO LOUD for TOO LONG this afternoon. After warning the boys numerous times that they were being WAY too loud, I finally sent them both to play separately in their rooms. That should take the volume down a bit, right?
Then as I sat down in the living room, what do I hear? The boys are yelling back and forth to each other through the heating vents! It made me want to giggle and sigh all at the same time. I guess some days you just can't win.
But are the days where you stumble upon the perfect, magic moment. Like the other day when the boys were being so quiet that I went to check on them and see what they were doing. This is what I found:
Jonah and Eli were sitting on the couch together, and Jonah was reading Eli a story. They were smiling and giggling together and it made my heart happy. My camera happened to be on the end table, so I unobtrusively got out my camera and took a few photos.
I don't know about you, but photos of quiet, happy moments like this make me smile and help me get through loud, crazy days like today.
oh let me tell you I sooo hear you on the volume! and that is such a precious moment you caught
ReplyDeleteI know JUST what you mean. Only, sometimes, when they are all outside playing and I am inside and it is quiet, I feel lonely. I miss the loudness. I miss the little monsters. They grow SO quickly!
ReplyDeleteYes, I know all too well the sound overload that you're talking about!! Love the sweet moment you captured.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the loud volume. Seriously, I tell my girls the same thing. My head can't take it!
ReplyDeleteI so cherish those loving, quiet moments between siblings. It really does melt your heart.
Lol. Wait until your new baby girl arrives! You think boys are noisy...
