I am assuming that when they say "April showers", they are not referring to snow! Not only did we get snow on Monday, we also got another lovely snowstorm on April Fool's Day with more snow expected over the weekend. Needless to say all the wind, snow, and cold has not necessarily been good for my poor apricot tree.
The blossoms were so pretty when they popped out on the apricot tree. Now unfortunately they are withering and turning brown. I just hope there are enough that haven't bloomed yet to produce some fruit this summer!
At least I have my flowers to look forward to, right? I have to remind myself that the sun will shine, and my tulips will bloom soon (when the weather improves!).
This little guy huddled next to the house has survived all the wicked weather we have been having lately. Isn't pink a happy, hopeful color?!
Beautiful photos. Great post.
ReplyDeleteMe too I hear ya on the snow! ARGH!
ReplyDeleteI can also understand the blossom troubles..... last year Spring took so long in the coming that my apple trees never did bloom..... 2 trees and not an apple in sight! Oh please spring get here and stay!!!
hope springs eternal
ReplyDeleteHere’s my photo story happy Friday!
You and me both!! Maybe if we hope together and hard enough Spring will listen???
ReplyDeleteAnd now I have a certain song about blossoms popping right before my eyes completely STUCK in my head! :)
I hope you get some rain soon and wash away all that snow so your spring can begin and you can enjoy your flowers
ReplyDeleteI would like some spring, too!
ReplyDeleteWe got snow on April Fool's Day too!! WTH?!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have beautiful flowers and wonderful fruit trees at stake like you do but I am sooooo ready for some warmer weather. I don't mind the rain (something you just have to learn to live with when you live in Washington) but I am DONE with the cold!
Love your photos! Pink is a happy and hopeful color...spring just might be around the corner for ya! Here's to hoping for that!
ReplyDeleteThat little pink survivor is beautiful and apparently quite hearty!
ReplyDeleteOh man that stinks! There is still hope though I am sure of it!
ReplyDeleteYou keep getting teased by the weather don't you??

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And as my Nana used to say, "April showers bring May flowers. And what do May flowers bring? Pilgrims!"
ReplyDeleteI am SO ready for it to stop snowing! It can rain all month, just no more snow!
ReplyDeleteThose pink flowers are pretty by the way -- what are they (I have some white and yellow ones in my front yard, but I have no idea what they are).
Totally sucks doesn't it! We got snow too and more is heading our way for tmrw!! *Arg!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the tree and flower, a sign that SPring will come soon...or later. lol!
