Scavenger Hunt Sunday {1•27•13}

Lace

When you have freezing cold temperatures and fog, you end up with beautiful ice crystals on everything. I think they look beautiful, like nature's lace.

Bling

The most bling-tastic person at our house is definitely Miss Aubrey. This morning she decided to wear 3 necklaces, 2 hair pretties and sunglasses. I had to laugh because she wanted her sunglasses on top of her head, because that's how mommy wears them!

Wood

I had a hard time choosing between these two photos, so you get both of them! I have a couple of favorite photo locations that feature old buildings with gorgeous, textured, old wood doors. I love to take pictures of my kids in front of these great backdrops!

Fuzzy

As I mentioned previously, this week we had freezing temperatures and fog. There were several days that everything seemed to be fuzzy because there were so many ice crystals. I had a great time taking pictures of the frosted landscape. You can find more of my "fuzzy" winter pictures here.

Fabric

Ever since I saw the Tutorial Tuesday for fabric water drop pictures on Sarah Halstead's blog, I wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately I did not have a speedlight, which made taking this kind of picture nearly impossible. Luckily my wonderful husband got me an awesome external flash for Christmas! I had so much fun figuring out how to get the water drop in focus so you can see the pattern in the fabric behind it. I LOVE this picture.

  9. I have a grand daughter that is all abut the bling. If it's bright and shiny, she's going to wear it. Love the water drop photo. I need to try that technique sometime. Very nice work.
