Yellow
Oh how I love my tulips! Right now my flower beds are full of beautiful tulips. I have to say that the variegated ones are my favorite kind, though I do love our plain yellow and purple ones.
Something That Makes You Smile
While I was out taking pictures of the tulips, a ladybug happened to land by me. So I invited him to crawl onto my hand. He crawled all over my hand and arm- so tickly and fun! Since I had my macro filter on, I used it to take this close-up of the little guy. Then I called to my boys and let them have the ladybug walk all over their hands. That made us all smile before our visitor flew away.
Ancient or Antique
I frequently pass a house nearby with a rather large piece of old machinery out front. Today when I stopped to take pictures, I found out it is a log planer that was used to take the bark off of logs. The planer was built by a Frank & Co. Machinery Makers company, which was making industrial machinery between 1872 and 1914. So this is definitely an antique!
Splash
I have never really tried to capture the splash from a drop of water. So today I took my 9x13 Pyrex outside, filled it with water and hung a baggie of water over it. Then I used a pin to make a hole in the baggie and started shooting. I shot at least 200 pictures, but it was worth it to get this shot!
In the Sun
Today it was warm enough for my kids to play outside in the sprinklers! They were having such a great time with their water rocket. My baby girl was not even afraid of the water rocket. She loved splashing in the water!
WOW! These are all incredible! Where to start... LOVE yellow, both shots just pop, & slash is SO perfect, & (of course) your little sun bathing cutie!!
