Still Green

Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge

If you frequent my blog (as you should), then you have heard about our tree project. Every day on our way home from Kindergarten we stop and take a picture of the same tree so we can watch it gradually change colors. So far our tree is still green! But I think the following picture gives you a glimpse of our crazy weather this week!

We definitely got a chill today, which was not thrilling. I can't believe it snowed in the mountains... crazy! I am starting to wonder about some of the fruit in our garden... you see the problem is that a lot of it is still green.

Hopefully after the weather today the plants in our garden get the memo and start changing color already!

Well, except for the green peppers. They can be exempted.

It has been a wet and drizzly week. But at least we have had some color to brighten up our days!

Can you see the double rainbow? This was one of the brightest rainbows I have seen in a while!

I took tons of pictures while this rainbow was in the sky, and I love them all! But for your sake, I chose these two. Hope you like them.

  14. I love the tree photos, what a great idea! I'll be looking forward to seeing how it changes over the coming weeks!

Some of our tomatoes are still green too, the plant was dying though so I cut them and put them out on a sunny window ledge to see if they'd ripen up any... hopefully they will!

Thanks for taking part in the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge, I hope you'll be able to join us next week for the colour theme 'yellow'!

  16. Wow, the rainbow shots. Hey, I chose green tomatoes to feature too! We may have to exchange recipes for the green tomato salsa and fried green tomatoes and anything else those puppies can be used for!

  22. The rainbows are beautiful! I have quite a bit of produce in my garden yet. If I were really good, I'd be canning tomatoes instead of blogging. I love the two pictures of the tree to show the difference in weather.
