If you frequent my blog (as you should), then you have heard about our tree project. Every day on our way home from Kindergarten we stop and take a picture of the same tree so we can watch it gradually change colors. So far our tree is still green! But I think the following picture gives you a glimpse of our crazy weather this week!
We definitely got a chill today, which was not thrilling. I can't believe it snowed in the mountains... crazy! I am starting to wonder about some of the fruit in our garden... you see the problem is that a lot of it is still green.
Hopefully after the weather today the plants in our garden get the memo and start changing color already!
Well, except for the green peppers. They can be exempted.
It has been a wet and drizzly week. But at least we have had some color to brighten up our days!
Can you see the double rainbow? This was one of the brightest rainbows I have seen in a while!
I took tons of pictures while this rainbow was in the sky, and I love them all! But for your sake, I chose these two. Hope you like them.
The weather has been wild today! I'd love it if leaves would start turning...if Utah decides to skip Autumn and go straight to winter I will MOURN!
ReplyDeleteOh, and by the way, your rainbow pictures are AMAZING!!
Gorgeous rainbow shots! I love your idea to take a picture of the same tree everyday to see its changes. Neat!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the rainbow. I can not believe about the snow. No stinking way! WOW!

ReplyDeleteAll lovely shots - particularly enjoyed your close ups and water drops on the tomatoes & capsicum/peppers.
ReplyDeleteWow. Your garden seemed to do a lot better than mine this summer. I just planted some greens for winter.
ReplyDeleteOh your trees are still so green - they are gorgeous - enjoy them, our leaves are almost all lying on the ground . . .
ReplyDeleteThose rainbows... so crisp.
ReplyDeleteThat snow... ick. lol :)

ReplyDeleteI love the tree photos, what a great idea! I'll be looking forward to seeing how it changes over the coming weeks!
ReplyDeleteSome of our tomatoes are still green too, the plant was dying though so I cut them and put them out on a sunny window ledge to see if they'd ripen up any... hopefully they will!
Thanks for taking part in the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge, I hope you'll be able to join us next week for the colour theme 'yellow'!
Great photos. I love your tree idea. I may have to try it next year. I will definitely be checking back.
ReplyDeleteWow, the rainbow shots. Hey, I chose green tomatoes to feature too! We may have to exchange recipes for the green tomato salsa and fried green tomatoes and anything else those puppies can be used for!
ReplyDeleteHopping over from Project Alicia.

Really loved the cherry tomatoes, poor little things.
ReplyDeleteLinking over from Project Alicia.
What a cute idea to follow the season with the same tree! I love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, I love the mountains in the background. Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteGREAT shots! We have been having strange weather too- one week in the 100's then to 60's- we had a rainbow 2 nights ago- it was fantastic- don't you just love those days when the weather gives you so many great pics??!!
ReplyDeleteThe rainbows are beautiful! I have quite a bit of produce in my garden yet. If I were really good, I'd be canning tomatoes instead of blogging. I love the two pictures of the tree to show the difference in weather.
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely beautiful. LOL at the plants not getting the time to change colors memo. And, um, isn't it too soon for snow (I know it's not, but yes it is!).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. I enjoyed reading about your tree idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful shots of those mountains! And snow? Noooo! =) I love that tree idea!
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering the other day how your tree was doing. I was wishing I had done this to our trees out back this year. Keep us posted :)
