Inspired by a Book or Movie
The library where I work has two incredible stained glass windows that are inspired by many children's fairy tales. These are only three of the panels. The windows look especially lovely in the evening when the sun is setting behind them. What fairy tale stories can you see in the windows?
Brown
I found these little mushrooms hiding under my neighbor's tree. I love this cute little cluster of brown hidden in the green grass.
Hazy
This prompt was the hardest for me. I am blessed to live in a place that isn't very hazy and has a clear view of the mountains all around. So here is a picture I took last year in Star Valley, Wyoming. It is not very hazy there either, but they do get a lot of fog in the winter. The road goes downhill from here, but you can't tell because of the dense fog.
Coffee or Tea
I had to think about this one. I don't drink coffee and living in Utah makes finding a coffee shop similar to finding a needle in a haystack. No Starbucks on every corner here! Since I don't drink coffee, I don't really go around looking for coffee shops either. Luckily I found this coffee station at a convenience store that I get my soda fix at occasionally. I didn't even know it was there!
Linger
I saw these dried out thistles and knew they would be perfect for the "linger" prompt. After all, they are already dead, but still hanging around. The grasshopper was an added bonus, which I think fits the prompt. Did you know that grasshoppers don't live through the winter? By this time of year they are all done mating and are just lingering about, waiting to die. Cheerful, isn't it?
Your hazy shot and the last shot are both fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love your last shot! That is great!
ReplyDeleteI love them all great series.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hazy shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat set, love your hazy shot, actually when I looked up the definition for hazy it included mist and fog, so I did the same. Your mushrooms are so cute and I love your thistle and fact about grasshoppers, perfect and I think it makes a fantastic thumbnail! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat surprise this grasshopper! I admire how much effort you put into finding the coffee shot. Lovely set.

That linger shot is amazing!!! Such an awesome capture. Sadly I could show you some real hazy. We live by the edge of a mountain and all of the pollution from LA likes to float this way and stay this way-sometimes you cannot see that mountain even though it is right there- so nasty.
ReplyDeleteJob well done, Great shot.. love the grasshopper on the thistle. I'm not a photographer but I know how to appreciate the beauty of your work.
