Friends and Books are for Sharing

I have two wildly social boys. They are not content to stay home with Mommy when they could be out playing with their friends. Nearly every day we go to various activities like Jonah's preschool and Eli's playgroup so my boys can spend time with friends. I love that they are learning to make friends and be good friends.

The last time I hosted Eli's playgroup, I found Eli and his friend Clara "reading" books to each other. It was the cutest thing ever!

I love that my boys get along well with other kids. Being the librarian-mommy that I am, I especially love that they enjoy sharing books and stories.

But that's not the best part. My absolute favorite thing is how my boys love each other and enjoy playing together. It is not always smooth sailing, and the inevitable fights and misunderstandings crop up. However lately it seems there are more times when they cooperate with each other and have so much fun together. It makes my heart happy. I hope my boys will always be friends.

The other day I walked into the living room to find the boys quietly reading together with the "wall of books" they built on the coffee table. How cute is that?! I love these boys!

  1. It's that kind of stuff that you will be so glad you've documented in a few years. The every day kind of things that make you smile but that you may not remember when they're teenagers and mad about having to read a certain book for school. :)

What a blessing that they not only get along with other kids, but with each other too!

  6. There is nothing that makes the heart happier than seeing that your children are so kind and loving to each other and others. Y'all must be doing a great job as parents.

Your books are in such great condition! Many of ours are not in photo condition. :)

  7. The wall of books is adorable, but not as cute as two kids pouring over a book together! I love it!!

  8. So sweet! Good books and good friends are priceless. It's wonderful that you are teaching your boys to appreciate both at such a young age. It's so important for siblings to understand that your brother (or sister) is your first best friend.

Love the wall of books. :-)
