You would think the boys would just go play on the play equipment or run around on the grass... but oh, no! Jonah and Eli found something to do that they thought was tons of fun. I was not so sure about that!
Geronimo!
The surprising thing for me was that Jonah went first. He is not usually my daredevil boy. I didn't know whether to be proud of him, or freak out about it. So I did the most natural thing... I got out my camera.Monkey see, monkey do, right? So of course Eli had to give it a try as well!
Look out below!
Naturally Eli didn't have the sense to wait until Jonah was out of the way, but luckily there were no collisions.I asked the boys to stop before too long because I am a wet blanket (and a safety conscious mom). I really didn't want to end up at the hospital with any broken arms or legs!
What is it with boys and the need to climb up on everything and them leap off? Sheesh!
Oh well. At least they are adorable, right?
Yes, they are certainly adorable! And super brave too...wow! Cute, cute pics.
ReplyDeleteThe jumping. THE JUMPING! Not sure what this is all about, but The Dudes are similarly afflicted. And we've had a broken leg and a broken toe already and the oldest is only 8! Cute shots, like always!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great that such simple things can inspire such engagement? :)
ReplyDeletevery adorable...
ReplyDeletemy son is just starting the climbing..
i am nervous, because he seems to want to try and DIVE head first, so I am always holding onto his feet
oh my yes, they are adorable! My little man is a climber but, so far, no leaping. My heart cannot take leaping and jumping, not yet!
ReplyDeleteOh they are adorable! And my boys are just starting to do the same thing. And it is all about Monkey see monkey do in our house!!!
ReplyDeleteA wet blanket. That made me laugh. ALL of my kids (girls included) are climbers and jumpers and haven't grown out of it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the shots!
LOL, that is so funny, and yes, very typical of boys!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute!
Oh how cute! Maybe you need a trampoline? LOL
ReplyDeletewow and wow... great pictures and aren't you glad you got them on the first try? I would have freaked if my little guy tried that
ReplyDeleteThey ARE SO adobrable! What great shots you captured! That one where his body was completely straight was cool!
ReplyDeleteJumping is a favorite activity in out house too. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable! Mine were always too fearful to do anything like that.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!
ReplyDeleteJust so you know, they won't grow out of it. My son is eleven and I still can't get him to stop climbing on things and jumping. The platforms just get higher as they get older...*sigh*
Great capture of the one with Eli in mid jump!
ReplyDeleteIt's not limited to boys, this jumping off thing... my girl loves doing that, too! :)
That's so funny. :) I envy you for raising boys that are so brave and bold. My kids are much, much more cautious.
