Sometimes when the boys are feeling a little bit stir-crazy, we go to the "train store".
Even though we have our own trains at home, the boys still like to go and play with the wooden train set that is out at our local Toys R Us. They like to see the trains and check out some of the accessories that we don't have.
We can sometimes spend nearly an hour just playing with the trains. I would feel silly about going to Toys R Us to play, but I know for a fact that I'm not the only one there to let their kids play with the trains (and other toys).
Instead I can feel silly that I actually took my camera in the store with me! I also made sure that I didn't take any pictures when employees were nearby, lest they think I am a spy committing corporate espionage or something. :o)
Don't forget to enter my SafetyTats Giveaway. It ends tomorrow!
Oh, I love their tow headed goodness...so CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun! :)
ReplyDeleteOh girl, been there, done that! Although I've never taken pictures... ;-P
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun (and affordable) idea!
ReplyDelete(we take our kiddies to the indoor play area at our mall and spend hours there.)
My boys are the same way!!! They never play with our train table, but I can't pry them away from the one at the bookstore! I think it is because the one there is glued together so it stays together much beter! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteOur library has trains in it - we go there to play with the trains and read books plenty. Even though we have a HUGE library of our own and TONS of trains. And I take pictures. I don't know if that makes you less silly but you do have company. :)
ReplyDeleteIf my kids liked something that much when they were that age, I would have done the same thing too! It's like a little field trip.
ReplyDeleteLol, I would be so self conscious and worried about employees if I were taking pictures too. And that is a good idea :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like something my boys would LOVE
ReplyDeleteHow I miss having a mall around or Walmart to entertain my kids
ReplyDeletesounds like a fun way to spend some time
ReplyDeleteI feel a tad bit paranoid when I take pictures in the store, too. BUT how else can you capture CUTE moments like that?!?
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm sorry but those adorable blonde boys of yours just scream corporate espionage. I happen to know that FAO Schwartz utilizes brunette twin girls.
ReplyDeleteHow cute. My kids used to love to go to Books a Million to play with the trains.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!!! And, it looks like they LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW to you!
I always wonder if stores will get annoyed with me taking pictures, so I usually wait until no one is around....even though someone is probably watching on security camera. :)
ReplyDeleteGood times!
my daughter has this train as well n she's just 6 months old :-)
ReplyDeleteI play with it.
hee hee my boys love that as well. Thankfully we have a children's museum not to far away and they enjoy there as well.
ReplyDeleteI took my camera in Toys R US with me when we went on a birthday present hunt
Your boys are adorable! I used to take my son to a small toy store that stocked a huge selection of Thomas toys and had a similar track set up. Total photo opp... they look like they are having a blast.
ReplyDeleteThey are too cute and that looks like a lot of fun! What a nice way to just hang out.
ReplyDeleteI am noticing more and more places have signs near the entrance stating no photos or video allowed. I wanted to take some pictures of my daughters at this really cool yogurt shop near our house, but couldn't.
We go to Books-a-Million for their wonderful train table. It's great because I can grab a couple of magazines, sit in a comfy chair, and the kids play with the trains.
ReplyDeleteI got in trouble for taking pics in a kmart once a long time ago. lol
