From Wonderful Weekend to Wacky Weather!

Friday and Saturday were absolutely gorgeous around here! The weather was warm and sunny. I was excited, thinking we had entered the time of year where I can hang my clothes out on the line to take advantage of the sun and heat. Aren't they lovely?

Honey Daddy had a three day weekend because of Spring Break at the local university. So he worked on projects outside with Jonah's help. What a great helper! Jonah helped Daddy work in the yard, the garden, and in the garage. Here is a photo of my guys working to rotate the tires on the cars and grease the joints. How wonderful is it to have such handy men about?

The boys got to play outside quite a bit both in the sandbox and the yard. I helped Jonah figure out how to push Eli on this little car. They had a great time together.

It's a good thing we had a couple of nice days because this morning we woke up to SNOW. It is snowing lightly here now, which I think is completely disgusting. I know the snow won't stay, and I just hope that it doesn't get below freezing tonight. Last year we got about two apricots because of late spring frosts. I would like to get a few more than that this year!

  1. We've been having wacky weather, too...one day it's in the 50s, the next day snow, the next day 60s, the next day snow. Must be Global Warming, huh?

  3. We've had some bizarre weather too. I'm ready for some sunshine! I would love to hang my clothes on the line but I'm allergic to pollen and it sticks to the closet. I do hang them on an indoor rack to dry, though.

  6. Even though it's almost +10 (50F) here today, that breeze is still pretty cool. And it's cloudy today. So it really doesn't feel that great, but at least it's not raining cats and dogs like it did ALL DAY YESTERDAY!! Man, there is water EVERYWHERE ~ and the snow has only just barely started to melt!! You can imagine how much fun navigating sidewalks and gravel roads must be!!

  8. Despite the snow my kids still wanted to go play.
I don't mind it so much, because I know it'll go away. It's just one of the things I'm liking about Utah.

I too love to hang my clothes outside. It saves money and gives me an excuse to spend more time outside.

    Good luck with your apricots!
