I did not have to retrieve a plate from the trash after realizing that I still had some garbage in one hand, and no plate in the other. I am SO not that absent-minded!
I did not have to practically physically restrain my two-year-old so that Honey Daddy could give him a haircut. After all of his haircuts, Jonah is definitely not afraid of the razor anymore!
I did not go on a 20 mile bike ride on Saturday... in DECEMBER... in 45 degree weather. Nope! Only a crazy person would do that!
I did not let Jonah watch TV (PBS, I swear!) so I could get some things on my Christmas to-do list done while his brother was napping.
I am definitely NOT tempted to slice open the tape on the rather large box under the tree to see what is inside before I am supposed to open it. If I did have such thoughts, I definitely wouldn't think about re-taping the box afterward so no one would be the wiser! (Honey Daddy says he will take the present back if I entertain thoughts like these... so I'm not even thinking about it!)
WHAT is in there?!
I do not giggle on the inside a little bit every time Jonah talks about our "kifmas" tree and it's "tinkling lights". That would be completely juvenile!
I am participating in Not Me! Monday.

WOW!! A 20 mile bike ride!! That's insane. I am impressed by your dedication to your fitness!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with just an itsy-bitsy little peek? Maybe you'll want Honey Daddy to take it back...
ReplyDeletehahahahaha. I have totally done the garbage thing...many times. Blonde moments I call them.
ReplyDeleteAww:) Merry Kifmas!
ReplyDeletemy kids never ever watch pbs either so i can stuff done. and throw away plates. lol. i've NEVER done that. :0) congrats on the bike ride. i couldn't do that. and oh how i MISS 45 degree weather...
ReplyDeleteAnd your penance is NOT to go and make some Christmas cookies and eat them all before everyone gets home. That wouldn't do anyone any good:-) Hee, hee, hee.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, popping in from SITS...happy monday!
ReplyDeleteShameless, just shameless! I'm sure glad you don't participate in such things:)

ReplyDeleteI have thrown things away like that before!!
Well heck, at least your hubby wraps stuff up...mine just shoves it at me. :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm juvenile too. ;) Cute! And I so have thrown away the wrong hand's contents before.
ReplyDelete20 miles?!!! That is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love the "tinkling lights"....so adorable!
How great is it that your husband gives haircuts!!! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with a little PBS every now and then. It can be a true lifesaver at our house. :)
We may have watched a Thomas the tank engine marathon yesterday so Mommy could get stuff done ; )
ReplyDeleteThanks for registering for the Christmas Tree frame! Love your blog background, how pretty! Kristen
ReplyDeleteVery funny list. My DH will not put presents under the tree until Christmas morning because I've peaked too many times. I just can't stand to wait...I've got to know!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha I might have to steal this idea for Mondays.
ReplyDelete20 miles is awesome!! Good for you!
And if you didn't throw away a plate or two or let a little one watch some tv every now and then, I'd worry about you ;)
Are you kidding me, 20 miles in 45 degree weather? Are you sick today? Wow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by the blog. I am beginning to enjoy living on a farm. It is certainly never boring.
I love your Not Me Mondays! So cute. I'd NEVER untape and peek at a Christmas present ever and tape it back up! Who would ever do such a thing? Lol! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI'd be too tempted by that gift too! :)
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I would never do anything like put a plate in the trash by mistake either ;)
ReplyDeletelove the tinkling lights! my 2 year old hates to have his hair cut too... I'm beginning to think he may end up being a hippy kid soon
ReplyDeleteI love listening to little ones talk they are so darn cute when they mispronounce words. My youngest just recently realized he's been saying DVD wrong all this time. He used to call them DDD's. He also will only let women cut his hair. Great list. Happy Holidays!! I love your new background.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I didn't do some of that stuff (minus the bike ride...I REALLY didn't do that!) either!!
ReplyDeleteThat was funny. I'll have to check out Not Me Monday. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Oh and I think I'd have to peek at that present too.
ReplyDeleteI'm just learning what this "Not Me" thing is about.....the plate in the garbage sounds like something I would accidentally do!
ReplyDeleteAnd the present.....o jeez....it's like torture!
this is a cute "Did Not/Not Me" list. funny too! thanks for stopping by my blog today SITSta!
ReplyDeleteI think we have the same brains!!
ReplyDeleteI so do not love this not me Monday thing nor do I let a 19 month old watch Barney so I don't have to hear her scream!
ReplyDelete~Elyse~
Happy Monday! We actually got my daughter's first haircut this weekend (that is my blog post tomorrow) and she did surprisingly well. I was expecting the meltdown!
ReplyDeleteOh, my absent minded sista! LOL - I have SO been doing that a LOT lately. What's up?? I think all the snow has frozen my brain.
ReplyDeleteAnd PBS rocks! :-)
20 miles!! Awesome. I loved your Not Me's!!
ReplyDeleteOnce again, a super cute list. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSweet Pea is SO afraid of scissors! I wish I knew why! I guess bike riding in the cold is probably like skiing, you end up warming up pretty quickly, right.
ReplyDeleteA 20 mile bike ride! WOW!

ReplyDeleteAw! You must love that hallmark commercial where the mom is trying to get her toddler to say "Merry Christmas"!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you bike so far...I feel so blah now!
I bet the bike ride was fun! Now, don't you peek! It'll be better if you wait. :)
ReplyDeleteA 20 mile bike ride???? Wow, I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteDo NOT open your present, you will ruin the suprise!!!
Great great list!!! LOVE it! Wonder what is in that fabulously big box?!?
ReplyDeleteOooh! I can't wait to find out what's in it too. You'll tell, right? Laughed out loud at your one about throwing the plate in the garbage because I have sooooo done that! I mean, not done it!
ReplyDeleteI am so not guilty of using the TV for quiet time. (Oh how I love quiet time.)
ReplyDeleteHow awful to have a present under the tree teasing you for so long. But judging by the size, I'm sure it's worth it.
I just received a random facts tag and decided to tag 7 people. If you're interested in sharing 7 facts, please see my blog!
ReplyDeleteSeems like you had quite the adventures.. Don't worry though, I not go walking in very cold weather either. (I gave up within about 10 minutes. IT WAS FREEZING!)
ReplyDeleteHappy "not" Monday..actually it's Tuesday..so that does not count!! Where did Monday go???
ReplyDeleteYou go girl...bike on!! My sister had the science of Pre-unwrapping down to an art. Have you given it a good shake??? HMMMmm...is it heavy? Sorry..should not be tempting...does it make any sound...k I will stop and put my horns back down!!
I love your not me Mondays they always crack me up!!
ReplyDeleteI have done the plate thing more times than I really want to admit..
20 mile bike ride??! oh my I'm already hurting just thinking about that!
ReplyDeleteThat was a cute list of things you did not do! I am impressed by the bike ride you didn't take--wow.
ReplyDeleteI had to join in the fun of Not Me!...it is really hysterical reading these lists!
Haha, love it!! I've totally NOT thrown away kitchen utensils or plates either!! :)
ReplyDeleteChristmas is SUCH a hard word to say! It's so amusing what other pronunciations it gets...
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'd never laugh at how my students (or kids) pronounced things! ;)
ReplyDeleteVery funny!
ReplyDeleteIf your sweetie is anything like mine, it's in a large box (or two or three) to completely throw you off! Men are just sneaky like that, lol!
