So my last post was about Jonah helping Honey Daddy rake leaves on Wednesday, right? Well the next morning we woke up and it was a winter wonderland! Everything was covered with a thick, white blanket and it was still snowing when the boys woke up.
Jonah was fascinated and immediately wanted to go outside. So after breakfast I bundled the boys up and we headed out into the snow. This was Eli's first experience with snow, and at first he wasn't sure if he liked it or not. But I set him down in the snow and made faces at him and he decided maybe it was ok.

Here is Jonah using his sandbox shovel to pile snow up on our porch swing.

Isn't that look just priceless? Sometimes that look describes exactly how winter makes me feel. It can be fun, but every once in a while I am just done with it!
The snow has mostly melted now, but it is getting COLD here. We probably won't be seeing the 70s again for quite some time!

I can't help myself. I love both of these carnivals!
great pics! I love that one of the chain link fence. Your little guys expressions are too much
ReplyDeleteThis weather has been quite a switch from last week, huh?
ReplyDeleteBravo for playing out in the snow. I'm pretty content to watch from the window.

ReplyDeleteOhhh my memories of snow.
ReplyDeleteI do miss it, though never have had to deal with it as an adult!
I can't wait for Merrick to be exposed, though I am sure I will recieve a similiar face as yours, accompied by a fierce, "NO MOMMY!"
Get out that little shovel:-) It's coming soon:-)
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! My boys have been blessed to see snow once a year for the past 3 years. There are so many Texans who NEVER see snow!

Wow, snow. I know what it is and that it happens in winter (I'm from Chicago, so I get the snow thing), but I'm always amazed by the first few snowfalls of the year (we don't get it here, but just seeing your pictures). Amazing haiku!

ReplyDeleteI used to live in New Hampshire and sometimes I do miss a good snow storm! We don't get it too much here in GA. Love the pictures! Sounds like you had so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI am still amazed that we live in the same country and you have snow. We are still in fall..although this morning it was 35 degrees. Aren't kids cute bundled up? These are great First Snow pictures and your poem in the photo is really nice.
ReplyDeletesnow, it's crazy that I miss it when we don't have it, but it just belongs to winter and your kids have a blast.
