No More Leafy Treetops

Little Jonah loves to help his daddy. Whether it's shoveling snow, mowing the lawn, working on the cars, or raking leaves. Whatever Honey Daddy is doing is exactly what Jonah wants to be doing.

Late this afternoon after my honey came home from voting, my boys went outside to rake up the leaves that had blown down from our trees. We don't have any small rakes, so Jonah was trying to help with an adult-sized rake.

He's a hard working boy, and he actually thinks this is fun!

You wouldn't think a little boy could pick up a rake this big,
but he did! Then he told me that it had "sharp teeth".

What a good little helper! He may not always be the biggest help right now, but he sure tries. He is definitely going to be a big help to his Daddy as he grows older. We love you buddy!

I am participating in Wordful Wednesday.

  1. SOOOOO cute! It is so great when kids help out, even when their "help" is more in name than anything else...

  8. My brother was like that when he was little, he was my dads shadow and did everything with my dad. I always thought that was neat!

Thank you also for your comments about my break-up! Kind words are always appreciated.

  12. So adorable! My kiddo thinks raking leaves is fun, but for her it is a novelty, as we only have 3 trees on our property so we don't have to rake; just mulch up the leaves when we mow.

I'm popping in from SITS rollcall - saw your comment that y'all are having snow and wanted to brag a wee bit that we're going up to seventy today with sun! I only want to brag because in our corner of NY state, we usually are covered in snow by now, NOT 70s and sun! Plus, snow is predicted for the weekend, and we had some snow last week, too. So, I swear I'm not being totally, randomly evil!

Anyhow, happy Wednesday - I'm off to poke around your blog some more!

    Cheers!

  19. How cute is that! Luv the pictures of Jonah. Such a big helper. Looks like you have one of those globe willow trees that I used to have in my yard. They provide great shade, but sure are messy.

  20. When he gets older he will be so much more help. This reminds me of my son when he was younger.

He wants desparately to do laundry, but I honestly am not quite ready for that yet.

  22. Very cute! I try to imagine how heavy and cumbersome a rake would be to such a little guy and what determination and desire to help must occupy his mind.
