Little Jonah
loves to help his daddy. Whether it's shoveling snow, mowing the lawn, working on the cars, or raking leaves. Whatever Honey Daddy is doing is exactly what Jonah wants to be doing.
Late this afternoon after my honey came home from voting, my boys went outside to rake up the leaves that had blown down from our trees. We don't have any small rakes, so Jonah was trying to help with an adult-sized rake.

He's a hard working boy, and he actually thinks this is fun!

You wouldn't think a little boy could pick up a rake this big,
but he did! Then he told me that it had "sharp teeth".
What a good little helper! He may not always be the biggest help right now, but he sure tries. He is definitely going to be a big help to his Daddy as he grows older. We love you buddy!
I am participating in Wordful Wednesday.

SOOOOO cute! It is so great when kids help out, even when their "help" is more in name than anything else...
ReplyDeleteso adorable - my son loves to rake too - I'm so happy - less work for me!!!
ReplyDeleteSO stinkin' adorable! I feel his pain on the full size rake... it's still too big for me!
ReplyDeleteWow you have lost of leaves. Is that in your back yard? Leaves are fun when you're a kid.
ReplyDeletecuteness enjoy the help while it lasts!!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! What a great memory!
ReplyDeleteAw... So cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great kid!!! He's adorable!
ReplyDeleteSo, is he for hire? Because I have a whole boatload of leaves just waiting to be raked...
What a great helper, and totally adorable, too!
ReplyDeleteMy brother was like that when he was little, he was my dads shadow and did everything with my dad. I always thought that was neat!
ReplyDeleteThank you also for your comments about my break-up! Kind words are always appreciated.
too cute... Blake loves to help out too and using the big tools makes it even more fun!
ReplyDeletevery cute! so many leaves... that looks like a lot of work. fortunately, it rained last night, so our leaves are too wet to rake. whew... i dodged that bullet. for now!
ReplyDeletewhat a cutie face!!! that's so sweet.
ReplyDeleteAnd I didn't watch any of the election stuff last night; we watched a movie. The end was inevitable. I just hope it's the best.
So adorable! My kiddo thinks raking leaves is fun, but for her it is a novelty, as we only have 3 trees on our property so we don't have to rake; just mulch up the leaves when we mow.
ReplyDeleteI'm popping in from SITS rollcall - saw your comment that y'all are having snow and wanted to brag a wee bit that we're going up to seventy today with sun! I only want to brag because in our corner of NY state, we usually are covered in snow by now, NOT 70s and sun! Plus, snow is predicted for the weekend, and we had some snow last week, too. So, I swear I'm not being totally, randomly evil!
Anyhow, happy Wednesday - I'm off to poke around your blog some more!
Cheers!
fall is just so darn fun with all the leaves to jump into and stuff. Now if we could just tell the kids the same thing about winter and snow shoveling.
ReplyDeletePrecious!!! I love the pictures! Thanks for visiting my new blog :)
ReplyDeleteThose are great helper pictures:-)
ReplyDeleteWhat can of tree is that? Not the kind of leaves at my house, although my 5 y/o loves to rake too, maybe we should get these two together... :-)
ReplyDeleteAww how precious. I love how the little ones love "helping".
ReplyDeleteSo cute - our little guy likes to lend a hand as well.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that! Luv the pictures of Jonah. Such a big helper. Looks like you have one of those globe willow trees that I used to have in my yard. They provide great shade, but sure are messy.
ReplyDeleteSooooo Cute!!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Jay
Precious little man! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen he gets older he will be so much more help. This reminds me of my son when he was younger.
ReplyDeleteHe wants desparately to do laundry, but I honestly am not quite ready for that yet.
What a good little helper boy! You have to love this age when they want to help! So much fun (most of the time)!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I try to imagine how heavy and cumbersome a rake would be to such a little guy and what determination and desire to help must occupy his mind.
ReplyDeleteAwww, what a sweet helper. And so creative of him to see the rake as having 'sharp teeth'. :)
ReplyDeletehey there fellow SITS girl! I love the title of your blog! :) You have an adorable little helper.
ReplyDeleteMy little one is Daddy's helper also...he has to be doing whatever Daddy is doing. Thanks for stopping by today.
ReplyDeleteI love working outside with my kids! And he is a cutie pie!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! It's good for kids to "help" out the family until they can really help. Good for building character!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the bloggy love today. My blog was soooo boring till a good friend of mine just started blogging and hers was beautiful. It really got me to pay attention to what the blogging world was doing and I was reallllly behind the times, lol!
And maybe if it's pretty I'll keep up with it better, lol!
What a great little helper! Fun shots. What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteGo ahead, lil' buddy!
