Weight for me!

So this morning when I walked out of the shower I found Eli on the floor of the bathroom checking out my bathroom scale. Of course I had to go get my camera so I could put a picture up on my blog. Isn't he cute?

I used to be a bit obsessive about weighing myself. Now I only weight myself two or three times a week. My two-year-old Jonah is well aware of this ritual. We "take turns" weighing ourselves. Even though I tell him what the scale says, he always steps on it and says, "Fourty pounds!" in his most excited voice. I don't know where he got the idea that he weighs fourty pounds, since he only weighs about 29... but at least he's happy about it, right?

I am hoping that tomorrow morning I will be just as happy about my weight. I did really well at eating healthy this week (i.e. NO pie!). I didn't do quite as good at getting more exercise. I only got in my 20 mile bike ride for breast cancer and one other shorter ride (8 miles or so).

Weight: lost 1.5 lbs!!! Yippee!
Goal: lose 4.5 pounds by Halloween

I lost the pound I gained last week, and a half more besides. That makes me pretty happy!

I hope to do a bit more exercising soon! My husband and I ordered a bicycle trainer this week and I am so excited for it to arrive. Then I can ride my bike inside while the boys are sleeping... and I don't have to go out in the COLD.

As you know, I have been watching the Biggest Loser. Can I just say Holy Heba! I definitely have a villain now to root against! She drove me crazy this week. First of all she just wouldn't stop whining... about EVERYTHING. The she tried to take charge in the temptation. I think that she is a total control freak! I was disappointed that she got to pick the teams.

The only thing that I think she did right in choosing the teams is putting one guy on each team. The game is just more fair that way (although I would have been tempted to leave both guys on my team). I don't think I would have split up the families though. She totally could have put Phillip and his wife on the same team. She was just being spiteful when she split them up.

As soon as we found out the black team lost, I knew that Shellay would be going home. It will be interesting to see how the teams do next week. I think if the blue team loses, then Shellay's daughter Amy may end up going home. But you never know!

How did you do this week? What did you think of the Biggest Loser?

By the way, I just realized my previous post was my 100th post! Thanks to all of your for the comment love! That was the most comments I have ever received!

  1. I like that Heba split the teams up equal numbers of men and women, but your right she could left the families together, or she should have split up all the families.

  3. yeah, she is working my last nerve...She put Phillip on the other team just to irk him. She wasn't thinking at all. And now, she's got a teammate who is gunning for her because she sent her husband away!
Congrats on 100 posts by the way!

  4. I only watched the biggest loser a few times and I wasn't thrilled with it because I saw a few people who definitely had reached very healthy weights where they looked great and the show was still pushing them to lose the most, even when they didn't have to.
But if you find something to motivate you, hooray!

Love the new blog look btw.

  9. Great job on your weight loss! I'd have to say after this week, I've had enough Heba! I think she split the families up because Phil decided to eat some "treats".

  10. okay, that is the cutest scale picture ever! one time my daughter went with me to weight watchers and they weighed her too and gave her a nametag sticker with her weight of 32 lbs on it. for ever after that she would get on the scale and say, good job, 32! i find it almost scary how aware of me watching my weight she is.

oh and Heba totally bugs me! although the first few episodes i was not liking the brown team. i thought he was not the best husband and she had no inner drive but they are growing on me as i get more and more worn thin by Heba and her mouth! :-)

    great job on the loss!!!!

  15. First let me say congrats on being a saucy blog this week.

Second, your blog is adorable, and your babies are even cuter. I love their names (I have an Elijah who is 10, and a Gabriel who is 4). I can't wait to read some more of your posts.

I'm on a weight loss goal, too, but what makes it a bit easier is having a friend to exercise with. We hold each other accountable.

Too funny that Jonah is always "forty pounds". That's exactly what Gabe says!

  18. So funny - boys always want to weigh more it seems. Apparently this desire starts from an early age?!
