cool summer breezes
tickle toes and the green grass
as we watch the sky
little blonde-haired boy
his head on mommy's shoulder
blue eyes on the clouds
look! there's a fishy
swimming there with the airplanes
high up in the blue
his eyes scan the sky
not fishy! I see tractors!
that's my little boy
he scampers away
and plays oh so busily
while life hurries on
tickle toes and the green grass
as we watch the sky
little blonde-haired boy
his head on mommy's shoulder
blue eyes on the clouds
look! there's a fishy
swimming there with the airplanes
high up in the blue
his eyes scan the sky
not fishy! I see tractors!
that's my little boy
he scampers away
and plays oh so busily
while life hurries on
*Inspiration: I was laying outside on a blanket with my baby boy while my toddler played in the sandbox with his trucks, tractors, etc.; unexpectedly my boy came and lay down next to me and we shared a nice little moment.
Aw, I loved the imagery and just the cuteness of summer with a baby boy. Super sweet.

ReplyDeleteYou don't mention a genre of books that you enjoy reading. If you like fantasy, may I suggest one to try? "Outcasts Of Skagaray" is an action fantasy adventure, which you can preview free by reading the sample chapters on www.threeswans.com.au By the way, I did take in the poem. I've had special moments with my children, too - I should write about them on my blog, which is http://threeswans.blogspot.com if you ever want to visit. I'd be thrilled if you read and enjoyed my book - but best wishes, whatever happens. Bless your family.
ReplyDeleteThe best part of our day is when we stop and enjoy the moment. I loved the imagery and could almost fell the grass and see the sky.
