Feeling Frozen

This week's Songography is "Let It Go" from the movie Frozen. I have not had the chance to take my kids to the movie yet, but watching the music video for this song definitely made me want to! We will probably just buy it on DVD when it comes out. That way we can watch it over and over again.

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen

A kingdom of isolation,
And it looks like I’m a Queen.

My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around

And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I’m never going back,
The past is in the past

Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone

As you can see, the frost has definitely left "frozen fractals all around" my neighborhood recently. I wish I could echo the lyrics of this song that say, "Let the storm rage on, the cold never bothered me anyway". To be honest though, I kind of wish it would warm up just a little bit. Though the frost and snow can actually be quite beautiful, just like the lyrics of this song.

  1. Holy Moly! Those are amaaaaaaazing snowflake shots! So exquisite! I have to admit I am traditionally NOT a Disney movie princess kinda gal. I would actually make the Better Half take the kids to those movies when they were younger! haha. BUT..."Frozen" is totally different in my book. Went with my 16 year old daughter to see it last week....WOW....messages galore for women! It just wasn't your traditional "handsome prince comes along and the world is right" kinda movie. And the music? Breathtaking. Thanks for joining in on Song-ography this week!

  6. For the life of me I can not manage to capture a pristine snowflake shot. Perhaps it is time to do a little research on this as it appears we are going to have some for awhile yet. Great images, especially for this song.
