April Showers gave me Flowers!

Most of the month of April has been SO cold and rainy! But I guess it is true that April showers really do bring almost-May flowers. This week it has finally warmed up and there are flowers everywhere!

There are little purple wildflowers blooming everywhere! They may be just weeds, but they are still beautiful to me. I also found some flowers blooming at the library where I work.

I am pretty sure that these are forget-me-nots, but I might be mistaken. In any case, they are lovely little flowers.

Closer to home are my neighbor's grape hyacinth, which I can't seem to get enough of! I may have to plant some of my own because I like them so much.

Best of all, my tulips are finally blooming! I love the color they bring to my flower beds.

How about you? What's blooming near you?

  1. Gorgeous group of flowers. I like those hyacinth too - might have to get some for my yard.

  2. Love your finds from around your work and home...that second shot might be my favorite - just cause that one little guy just pops off the page (so to speak!)

  4. Beautiful flowers! I do believe the little flowers are forget-me-nots. I have some in my flower bed. I'm sure they are a weed but I like to think of them as wild flowers.

  6. Don't buy the grape hyacinth. Chances are some of your neighbors have some they want gone from their yards. Just dig up the bulbs and replant. They will spread. I did that last year and had a bunch come up.

Thanks so much for sharing these in the Nurture Photography Challenge! I can't wait to see what you come up with for our new theme: Ivory/Dream!

P.S. Sorry for stopping by so late. Unfortunately, there was a death in my family and I just didn't feel up to visiting blogs right away. I hope you'll understand. :)
