Summer Swimming

At our house you know that summer is officially here when we start swimming lessons! For the past week and a half I have spent every day at the pool. The boys are absolutely LOVING it!

It is amazing to me how much they are learning at such a young age. My six year old is working on honing the skills that he learned last year. Here he is doing the crawl stroke (which they call "ice cream scoops", which is something I never really mastered!

Eli is like a little fish! He is in a level 2 class for preschoolers and I am amazed at how well he swims. Here he is doing "chicken-airplane-soldier", which is also known as the elementary backstroke.

His teacher isn't really even holding onto him! Great job, dude!

I love how patient the teachers are with the little ones, showing them how to do all the glides and strokes. Of course they get to have fun and "kick it" every once in a while!

Does anyone besides me think it is hilarious that my son is wearing orange and pink goggles? We have lots of clear goggles, but since Jonah picked the blue ones, Eli insisted on wearing the pink ones. Whatever! Why not?

I have not had the chance to take as many pictures as I usually do because I am taking a Mom and Tot class with Miss Aubrey. Though I am not excited about getting in my swim suit every day, she is enjoying her time playing in the water.

I think we are going to take a short break and then take another session of swim lessons. This time I will be sitting out with Aubrey, so hopefully I can take some more fun pictures!

(Speaking of fun pictures, wait until you see my awesome Ferris wheel photos later this week!)
