To help the boys get ready for the arrival their little sister, I have been trying to get them to do more things by themselves and figure out how to help each other. This is doubly helpful for me since I am pretty tired at this point (less than two weeks to go!). The more things the boys can do for each other, means a little less for me to do. So last night when Daddy was working late I told Jonah to get his pajamas on and help Eli with his pj's.
It was the cutest thing to see Jonah help Eli with his buttons! I just had to grab my camera.
I love these boys! I love how well they have been getting along and playing together lately. Eli is more willing to let Jonah help him out (instead of just mommy) and they give me hope that even though having three kids will be hard, at least the two of them can help me out!

Awwwww! So sweet! You are so smart to help them get a little self sufficient before their sister comes. I think everyone will be happier for it. Score one for HoneyMommy!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to be just fine -- it looks like you'll be in good hands. And just wait until you see how protective those boys are, when it comes to their little sister.
ReplyDeleteThis could not be sweeter. Seriously. I love this picture so much. I can't believe the baby will be here in less than 2 weeks. That is just crazy. And wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat is the sweetest thing EVER! I love when siblings looks out for each other. Great photo, Honey Mommy! Hoping the next two weeks are comfortable and fly by for you! xox
ReplyDeleteso precious and yes it will help you a great deal if they can do more for themselves, and each other.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet!! I did the same thing with Tommy and Jack before Olivia came. Its amazing how the older sibling will so happily step up to help. Now that she is here they both like to help me with her (get bottles, blankets, diapers, daddy...whatever we need!!)
ReplyDeleteThe first few weeks will be an adjustment, but it is so much fun and once you find your groove you will be golden!! Can't wait to "meet" your princess!!
Seriously, that is one of the sweetest things I've ever seen! I have two boys and any moments of kindness like this that they share are just priceless. Good luck with the new babe!
ReplyDeleteThat really is so smart! The more help you can get from them, the easier the transition to 3 will be. Love the sweet moment you caught on camera.
