I grew up in a house full of girls, so as I raise my boys I have been gaining an education about all things masculine. My boys love trucks, trains and all kinds of construction equipment. As a matter of fact, for his upcoming birthday Jonah has been telling us that he wants a garbage truck! I think garbage trucks are disgusting, but apparently for boys they are completely fascinating.
Not surprisingly, one of the boys' favorite books is one that shows all kinds of "rescue equipment". They love to look at the pictures and have me read about the tow trucks, ambulances, police cars, etc.
One morning while Jonah was looking at this book he says to me "Mommy, we need one of these!"
Me: Wow Buddy, that snowblower is as big as our house and probably costs just as much.
Jonah: But we need one!
Me: Why?
Jonah: We need the snowblower to shovel the snow off our driveway.
Yeah, right! Off our driveway onto the houses a few streets over! Dream on Bubby. Our driveway is big, but not THAT big.
Hey, the kid dreams BIG. Can't fault him for that, right? :)
ReplyDeletesounds like you live in a house with TOTAL boys! Enjoy...it just gets more fun as they get older ;)

ReplyDeleteThe Dudes are obsessed with the garbage man, to the point that its backing up beep awakens them from sleep and they run into my room to get a glimpse. I hate it when that truck comes before 6:30.

ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. He is the cutest little thing, isn't he? What a sweetie! Go ahead, refinance the house and get that special snow blower!
ReplyDeleteHow cute. Little guys like big toys. Just think what big boys want. My little man always needs something or so he thinks. And his daddy is just as bad. Happy Wednesday.

Just like a little man. Gotta have the biggest and baddest machine out there...:)
ReplyDeleteI love it! He's looking out for you, mama! ;) Isn't it funny how kids go through magazines and pick out stuff they think you need? Princess Nagger does that, too. :)
ReplyDeleteWW: Earth Day and Dinosaurs
My kids are a little scared of the snowblower...that one looks like the snowblower equivalent to the massive Frank the Combine in Cars!
ReplyDeleteI think that big "trucks" are the dreams of all small boys. :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute WW!
My boys LOVE to watch the garbage truck, especially since it has this HUGE arm on it that picks up the can and dumps the trash in the truck. Pure fascination every week!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're little guy would LOVE to see that snowblower in action! :)
