Farewell Halloween

First of all, if you didn't see our Toy Story Family Costumes, you just have to go tell me it was all worth while!

I couldn't let Halloween go without showing off the pumpkins we carved. Actually, I wanted to show off Honey Daddy's pumpkin photography skills. Isn't he amazing?!

Here is Jonah's happy pumpkin:

And here is the pumpkin that I did. I got over my desire to carve an elaborate pumpkin and settled for this one.

We had a great Halloween. The costumes are being put away and the pumpkins are rotting on the front porch. I think I am suffering from a Daylight Savings Hangover. I am also wondering what on earth I am going to do with all this CANDY?!

  1. very cute pumpkins! I'm sending our extra candy into work with my hubby so it isn't sitting around for me to eat. I've heard of people bring it to food banks and homeless shelter type places

  2. Would you be willing to come up to Washington before next Halloween and carve my pumpkin for me? Just doing the basic face on a pumpkin gives me a headache!
I've said it before and I say it again. You are awesome!

  3. If those jack-o-lanterns are your idea of simple, I'd really like to see your version of elaborate!

PS Your Toy Story costumes were amazing too.

  6. awesome skills--both carving and photograpy. How did he back light those pumpkins? I can't ever get a good shot in the dark. I just haven't figured it out yet. But these shots inspire me to try.

  7. We have fabric advent calendars for each of the kids, and every year, we fillt hem from the haloween candy FIRST! The rest can be eaten. But it means that the candy consumption is spread out!! We also put two candies in each of the pockets, then Buddy shares with Daddy, and Chuck shares with Mommy (or vice versa... basically, there's four of us, and four candies a day!)

And if those Jack O Lanterns are simple... WOW!! Those look FABULOUS!!
