No Stinky Boys or Pie Allowed

Another week has passed and yet again its time to confess some of the things that REALLY happened at the Honey House. Of course, in order to maintain my image and self esteem, I am going to have to deny that any of these events actually occurred.
*We did not put up our Christmas tree the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We are not that excited for Christmas, no way!
*I did not get so busy with Thanksgiving preparations that I neglected to bathe my boys for nearly a week... that would be gross!
*I absolutely do not pin down my 8 month old with my leg so I can change his diaper and clothes (even though he must be the wiggliest child ever).
*We did not leave our pillows at my parents house in Wyoming after visiting for Thanksgiving. We are WAY smarter than that!
*When my potty-trained two-year-old had a rare accident in the middle of the night, I did not cover the damp spot on his bed with a towel and blanket and then return him to bed because it was quicker than changing the bed. I'm not that lazy, right?
*I did not accidentally hit the wrong button and publish a post that only had a title.
*I did not eat slices of 4 different kinds of pie within a 24 hour period. Of course I would not justify it by insisting that everyone else had more than that!
There. Don't you feel better? I know I do!

I am participating in Not Me! Monday.

  2. I told my dad that if he went out and bought a tree before Thanksgiving, that I would disown him lol. With our luck, it would have died before Christmas - we got ours on Saturday.

I did not leave my pillow in my friend's car on Black Friday. No, and he did not turn his car into the shop that day. So I am not without a pillow right now and wishing very badly that I had it!

  6. They get dirty every time you wash them anyways. Why fight it? Love the layouts you have. Where do you get them?

  7. I did NOT finally get my tree decorated this evening. It did NOT take me nearly 3 weeks either. Great NMM's.

  8. That is actually pretty funny about covering the potty accident up with a towel. When my son was much younger I would cover up baby puke that was in my bed with a towel until the next morning. You aren't alone there (lol). As for wrestling your little one while changing diapers...wish I could say that was gonna get better, but my son is almost 2 and is still a wiggle worm.

  14. Too funny... I definitely "have not ever" put a towel over a pee spot just because I didn't wantto change the sheets in the middle of the night.

  15. We don't wait a week to bathe our kids either. :)

  18. Yeah my kids got a bit funkier this past week than most as well. And the wiggle worm - yep feet positioned just under his armpits during diaper changes is a must in order to keep him put. And TMI but when I was younger (but old enough) I wet the bed and I hated to bother anyone so I just would go get a towel and double or triple it over the spot and go back to sleep. It's always easier to deal with in the morning. :) That doesn't make you a bad mommy. :)

  22. Okay - you make me feel better thanks :). I have to wrestle Landon to change his diaper lately - he hates it. & sometimes he does go a week without a bath. I just forget? Is that weird? Thanks for helping me feel like I am not losing it!

  27. Your blog is beautiful!

Loved your "Not Me Mondays!" this week. We went about 4 days when I realized my son hadn't showered or bathed this past week...HE wasn't about to remind me! Tis the season... ;)

I'm putting a link to your blog tomorrow for the SITS posts! (hope that is ok)

  28. ROFL! I may NOT have hit the "publish post" button a little too fast today myself. I was like, "Hey! I didn't write anything yet." But the computer just laughed and said, "Yeah, you wrote a title and now everyone will finally think your blog is funny." Computers can be so cruel sometimes!

  33. How fun! I would hate forgetting my pillows, but have done it before. And I confess I have put towels over the wet stuff until morning. I'm not much of a middle of the night person.
