Another week has passed and yet again its time to confess some of the things that REALLY happened at the Honey House. Of course, in order to maintain my image and self esteem, I am going to have to deny that any of these events actually occurred.
*We did not put up our Christmas tree the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We are not that excited for Christmas, no way!
*I did not get so busy with Thanksgiving preparations that I neglected to bathe my boys for nearly a week... that would be gross!

*I absolutely do not pin down my 8 month old with my leg so I can change his diaper and clothes (even though he must be the wiggliest child ever).
*We did not leave our pillows at my parents house in Wyoming after visiting for Thanksgiving. We are WAY smarter than that!
*When my potty-trained two-year-old had a rare accident in the middle of the night, I did not cover the damp spot on his bed with a towel and blanket and then return him to bed because it was quicker than changing the bed. I'm not that lazy, right?
*I did not accidentally hit the wrong button and publish a post that only had a title.
*I did not eat slices of 4 different kinds of pie within a 24 hour period. Of course I would not justify it by insisting that everyone else had more than that!
There. Don't you feel better? I know I do!
I am participating in Not Me! Monday.

What's wrong with eating 4 different kinds of pie??? It was a holiday!!!
ReplyDeletep.s. Love your new template, very cute!
I told my dad that if he went out and bought a tree before Thanksgiving, that I would disown him lol. With our luck, it would have died before Christmas - we got ours on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI did not leave my pillow in my friend's car on Black Friday. No, and he did not turn his car into the shop that day. So I am not without a pillow right now and wishing very badly that I had it!
8 month old diaper changes...its like little wrestling matches...
ReplyDeleteWe did NOT put our Christmas tree up one day earlier than you!!!!
ReplyDeleteOm goodness You had me rolling..
ReplyDeleteWe finally gave the boys a bath tonight! We have a Dr. appt. tomorrow so that put the pressure on! ;)
ReplyDeleteThey get dirty every time you wash them anyways. Why fight it? Love the layouts you have. Where do you get them?
ReplyDeleteI did NOT finally get my tree decorated this evening. It did NOT take me nearly 3 weeks either. Great NMM's.
ReplyDeleteOh, and Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteThat is actually pretty funny about covering the potty accident up with a towel. When my son was much younger I would cover up baby puke that was in my bed with a towel until the next morning. You aren't alone there (lol). As for wrestling your little one while changing diapers...wish I could say that was gonna get better, but my son is almost 2 and is still a wiggle worm.
ReplyDeleteI do love this post, but have not been brave or creative enough to do an "It's Not Me Monday" post of my own! Oh, and I do love the new look!
ReplyDeleteThe family did not fill our garage with Christmas boxes to start decorating right after Thanksgiving. Found you through MckMama!!!
ReplyDelete~Elyse~
don't you hate the I refuse to lay still for ANYTHING phase?? love the new layout!
ReplyDeletewhat a super idea! cover up the spot with a towel and voila you're set. LOVE IT. lol. too cute.
ReplyDeleteAt least you had the option of four different pies...sigh.
ReplyDeleteToo funny... I definitely "have not ever" put a towel over a pee spot just because I didn't wantto change the sheets in the middle of the night.
ReplyDeleteWe don't wait a week to bathe our kids either. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that I didn't do any of those things either.
ReplyDeleteHow funny! :) And I love your new *December* look!
ReplyDeleteYeah my kids got a bit funkier this past week than most as well. And the wiggle worm - yep feet positioned just under his armpits during diaper changes is a must in order to keep him put. And TMI but when I was younger (but old enough) I wet the bed and I hated to bother anyone so I just would go get a towel and double or triple it over the spot and go back to sleep. It's always easier to deal with in the morning. :) That doesn't make you a bad mommy. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your Not Me Mondays. They are always so funny and I can totally relate to so many of them!
ReplyDeleteLoved the one about putting the towel over the wet spot because I did that occasionally when they were younger too!
ReplyDeleteOoooh! Thanks for reminding me about the pie in my fridge.....
love these - I think we have all done a few of these!!
ReplyDeleteOkay - you make me feel better thanks :). I have to wrestle Landon to change his diaper lately - he hates it. & sometimes he does go a week without a bath. I just forget? Is that weird? Thanks for helping me feel like I am not losing it!
ReplyDeleteLove that the kids bathed every day this week! Sweet smelling boys! :) Of course, I bathe MY kids 2x per day. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never done the towel thing in the middle of the night either. What kind of mom's would we be?! Great post:) God Bless, April
ReplyDeleteThis is hysterical! And, like you and Takin time to smell the flowers, I've NEVER done the towel thing in the middle of the night. Who me? Never! ;0)
ReplyDeleteLove the new holiday look, dear! It's adorable.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the picture, how stinking cute is that. At least you forget to bathe your kids, sometimes I forget to bathe myself...shoot.
And I had 4 different desserts on Saturday, too. I was pushing my luck.
Your blog is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLoved your "Not Me Mondays!" this week. We went about 4 days when I realized my son hadn't showered or bathed this past week...HE wasn't about to remind me! Tis the season... ;)
I'm putting a link to your blog tomorrow for the SITS posts! (hope that is ok)
ROFL! I may NOT have hit the "publish post" button a little too fast today myself. I was like, "Hey! I didn't write anything yet." But the computer just laughed and said, "Yeah, you wrote a title and now everyone will finally think your blog is funny." Computers can be so cruel sometimes!
ReplyDeleteToo funny. And I do the same thing with diaper changes & accidents! Ummm...I mean I don't. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the holiday look! It's definitely "phat!"
That IS so funny! Don't you hate leaving your pillow? Those are the cutest little bottoms :0)
ReplyDeleteOh I have SOOOOOO "not" done the cover-the-pee-up-with-a-towel, and then go back to bed, either! LOL. Hilarious.
ReplyDeleteAND I am so upset that I missed Biggest Loser! NCIS and House have taken up our DVR!
hey, four slices of pie is OK. I would have eaten at least six!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I would hate forgetting my pillows, but have done it before. And I confess I have put towels over the wet stuff until morning. I'm not much of a middle of the night person.
ReplyDeletei love these!!! i really need to start playing along!
