I certainly did not want to get up that early, so I gave him his Binky and told him to go back to sleep. At about 5:15 a.m. I got my second wake-up call. Apparently Eli was soaked and wasn't going to put up with it anymore. So by the time I finished changing his diaper and clothes I knew I would have to feed the poor boy.
After he was fed and back in bed, I decided to just go downstairs and get my workout in for the day. I pedaled 20 miles on my bike trainer and by the time I was finished Jonah had joined me and was watching Curious George.
When that was finished we went back upstairs. I could tell that Eli was awake for the day, but he sounded pretty happy in his bed. So I told Jonah I was going to take a quick shower. He is a well-behaved boy and I don't have any problems leaving him unsupervised for a few minutes.
When I got out of the shower Jonah came running into my room and said, "Mommy, I gave Eli a toy to play with!"
"How nice!" I said, "Thanks buddy!"
When I was dressed I walked into Eli's room to get him out of his crib. This is the sight that greeted me:
Apparently Jonah didn't just give Eli a toy... Jonah gave him every toy in the room. What a super-nice brother, huh?! I was laughing SO hard!

I LOVE that!!!! If your showers last as long as mine (under ten minutes...usually under about seven), that boy is FAST!!!!
ReplyDeleteEli looks blissfully happy. What a nice, helpful big brother he has!
That is really adorable. What cute boys you ahve and what a great big brother!
ReplyDeleteOmg that is absolutely hillarious!!!
ReplyDeleteHe's a perfect big brother! How sweet!
ReplyDeleteI think all boys have the same philosophy: Why play with one toy when you can play with them all?! Cute pics.
ReplyDeleteOh my 4 am..that is a big UGH! I don't have a very little one but I sometimes see that "time"!
ReplyDeleteCute boys!
-sandy toes
that is too cute !!!!!!! while i was reading to my girls the other night, my younger one was doing something in her room (i was reading in her sis's room) when we finally went into my younger one's room to put her to sleep in her crib, every toy was in the crib- she was so proud of herself.
ReplyDeleteThat's great. That's the sign of a good big brother for sure.
ReplyDeleteOh that's funny. When I take a shower, I make my daughter sit in the bathroom on a stool because I can't trust her not to get into stuff. (She's only two.) Usually I try to shower when she's sleeping though.
ReplyDeleteway too cute!!! my daughter has done that a couple of times with her little brother.
ReplyDeleteThat is right! He knows! More IS better! Why have one when you can have them all?
ReplyDeleteHow funny is that!! Too cute that he thought he needed A toy (lol). That was so sweet of his big brother to do that : )
ReplyDeleteMy oldest used to do this, too. Thankfully, the baby managed to avoid getting clunked in the head by the heavy stuff!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story! :)
Bwhahaha! I luv the action shot of brother climbing up on the crib. Who me????
ReplyDeleteI still remember my son climbing into his sister's crib to STEAL her toys. Aaarrgh!
How cute is that?!!!
ReplyDeletePRICELESS! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLOL--those are great pics! What a couple of cuties!! And what a sweet big bro to give him all those toys.
ReplyDeleteAlso--good for you for getting your workout in--I probably would have crawled back to bed!!
That is so sweet of Noah! But wait, I can't get past the fact that you rode 20 miles on the bike! I just can't seem to get into an exercise routine, and I'm getting to the age that I had better! If I do 5 miles on my bike, I think I am doing good. You have put me to serious shame!
ReplyDeleteThat is too cute!! What a sweet big brother..lol!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet brother!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! Priceless! :)
ReplyDeleteHow precious!!! That's the cutest thing ever - so glad you had your camera charged and ready to capture that one! :)
ReplyDeletethats something ryan would do, except he would be in there with braiden paying with his toys!!
ReplyDeletebut that is to precious, such a good big bro.
Wow! 20 miles in the morning and a shower - you are super mom! I'm exhausted just thinking of that. And those pictures are priceless.
ReplyDeleteSuper sweet!
ReplyDeleteIn answer to your question, yes I think it may be difficult to find tickets or any seats for Twilight this weekend. I bought our tickets last weekend online and there were slim pickings at the theaters then. I hope it is much better than the trailers. I am on my way tomorrow afternoon! Bite me, Edward! ;)
20 miles?! Man...I can't even imagine that. I think I rode one mile during my warm-up today at the gym...show you just how out of shape I am! You are wicked awesome!
ReplyDeletethat is too funny... I guess he wanted to make sure that his little brother had the right toy
ReplyDeleteWhat a great big brother! <3
ReplyDeleteThis seems like something my son, Elijah, would do for his baby sister, Logan. ;)
Awww thats cute! And yes I did change my backgroud, I want to make a cool header as well, but I haven't quite figured that out yet....we'll see if I get inspired over the weekend!
ReplyDelete20 miles?!! Impressed! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI have a very similiar picture of my son doing this to my daughter. But the girl was not happy as a toy bonked her in the head when he was trying to be helpful! :-)
They are so cute.
ReplyDeletewhat an awesome big brother!!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! What a good big brother!
ReplyDeleteThat was sweet!! I sometimes think I want to make my 5yo a big brother but the feeling goes away pretty quickly :)
ReplyDeleteThat's super cute!
ReplyDeleteAt least he didn't put anything dangerous in there. :)
How nice of him to share!
ReplyDeleteAwww he's a good helper. K-Girl has buried her brother in the crib before too. It's too cute though.
ReplyDeleteHehehe, that is just super cute.
ReplyDeleteHaha, that's hilarious!! Just "A" toy??? Your blog is so frickin' cute! Thanks for stopping by, keep in touch!
ReplyDeleteOh what a hoot! That picture is such a framer! What an awesome big brother. :)

ReplyDeleteI love that his brother kept him busy.....with lots and lots of toys!
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable and sweet!! How wonderful that you capture this photo, you won't ever want to forget this sweet image!
ReplyDeleteYOu biked TWENTY miles? That's incredible! You go, girl! And how wonderful to see such love between brothers. Pat Jonah on the back and give him a big hug for me.
ReplyDeleteAhhh! That is so sweet!! I hope you got a nap in somewhere!
ReplyDeleteWhat a loving brother!
ReplyDeleteThis seriously sounds like a page out of my life! We've had this happen several times with the boys!
ReplyDeleteFortunately, the older one doesn't put in his toys that are considered "chokies", as we call them. He sticks with the baby toys!
What does a Mommy have to do to take a shower or go potty around here?
That is so sweet!!!
ReplyDelete20 miles?!?!?!?! HS!
How sweet is that! And hey, you got time for a shower. Go Mom!
ReplyDeleteThat is GREAT! At least he is thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteOH... what a sweetheart. What a very nice big brother to have. Reminds me of mine when they were little.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to know they will always have each other?
I was watching "some show" the other day and they were talking about brothers. "They'll cover for you and hide the fact that you broke mama's vase...brothers.
They're also the first to rat you out when they need extra points with mom".
This was so very true with mine.. :)
There will be awards for you at my blog soon!!!
ReplyDeletefunny! i love it when my girls help me out too, and then i get a good giggle out of it. i also like how you told your son to go back to sleep. i try that with my two year old all the time. or i just bring her in bed with me and voila she's back to sleep!!
