The Biggest Loser Lost Me!

Thanks for all the encouragement last week! Your kind words kept me going and working hard. It also helped to remind myself how far I've come over the years. Most people don't know that when I was in high school I was NOT thin at all. I used to wear a size 24 pants and now I am almost in a 14. So I CAN make it down to a size 10... it will just take time.

This week I have managed to put in 39 miles on my bike trainer and I still plan to ride today. I did 20 miles EARLY Thursday morning... whew! I was sweating by the time I finished.

I have also been working on drinking more water, which has actually made me feel great. I think I've done pretty well this week, so we'll see what the scale says.

Weight: -1.5 pounds
Goal: Lose one pound Thanksgiving week!

Hooray! I had been hovering at the same weight for a couple of weeks, so this loss is encouraging. Hopefully I can keep it up and try to be good this week. That means I have to avoid eating so much PIE, which is my Thanksgiving weakness!

I have to say that I was SO disappointed with this week's Biggest Loser! *sigh* I don't know if I want to watch anymore! I can't believe that Amy voted out Coleen instead of Vicki! After her great decision last week, I was shocked that she made this mistake. Vicki is NOT her friend. If two of the former blue team members fall under the line and one of them is Amy, then she is going home for sure! I think she would have had a better chance voting with the former black team members.

It's sad because Renee and Michelle are going to have a really tough time making it to the end. I don't know if I really care if any of the others win. What a bummer.

I did think that Jillian said some inspiring/wise things this week. This quote in particular struck a chord with me:

“You can tell me that you choose not to. You can tell me that you choose to quit. That you choose to be less than what you are and less than what God intended. But don’t ever tell me that you can’t do it.”

I think too often we don't try because we tell ourselves that we can't do it. Most of the time that is just not true! So how did you do this week? Who do you think is going to win the Biggest Loser and do you even care anymore?

  1. congrats on the loss! drinking water in leu of other more caloric drinks makes a whole lot of sense. I've done that for a long time.

As far as biggest loser I was upset but not shocked. I still think Amy is playing the game. I hope Michelle or Renee wins, but I'm not sure it's going to happen. We shall see

  2. Congratulations on your weight loss this week. You put in some great mileage on your bike trainer.

I was upset that Amy voted for Colleen as well - Vicki needed to go. I'm not a fan of the blue team. I would love to have Bob as a trainer though.

  5. Go Honey Mommy! I've had a bad week, too much stress. I'm such an emotional eater. I gained what you lost. But I have 3 days until I see my trainer so maybe I can loss something. Good job on drinking more water.

  6. It sounds like you are doing an awesome job. I wish I had the will power to get my butt into shape but I just can't even seem to find the TIME!

As for B.L , I was SO disappointed in Amy's ridiculous decision. Does she really think the blue team will be loyal to her? Last week, I really thought she just rocked! This week, she disgusted me with her vote. I SO wanted Coleen to win. Now, I guess I'm hoping for Renee or Michelle. I am just blown away by the thought patterns of Vicky and Heba....YUCKY people.

  7. I still can't get over your 20 miles...yikes.

The only reason I want to watch next week is that Steve Young is coming on (I guess) to work out with the players and he was one of my favorite quarterbacks. But I am soooo tired of the blue team. And I have lost just a little respect for Bob. His team really listens to him and he is doing nothing to discourage their disgusting behavior. yucky.

  10. I don't get reg. T.V. so I haven't been up to date on the Biggest Loser.

I'll tell you what does help. You talking about what you're doing.

Tonight I'm having my hubby set up my bike on the trainer and I'm going to start pedaling. You've inspired me, my dear, to get back with it. I'm going to make the same goal for Thanksgiving weekend.

  11. I've been loosing weight, mostly from stress and being sick this week, but I plan to join a gym with my mom after Christmas. I wish I had somewhere to keep gym equipment at home so I didn't have to spend the money.

I didn't get into biggest looser this year, but have watched the previous seasons.

  12. Congrats on your weight loss!! I too was throughly disappointed with Biggest Loser. Vicki is definitely not a friend of Amy's and for Amy to keep her around instead of Coleen was pure stupidity! What was she thinking?!? The only people I care to win this is Amy, Renee or Michelle. I can't even stand Heba and Ed and well Vicki doesn't even rate on the list.

  13. Yay!! That's great. A loss is a loss and that's awesome. My goal next week is to send others home with as much as possible. ;) Hopefully it won't be too bad to those of us trying to work our way down.

  14. Good Job on the loss! I am glad you are losing. Sounds like overall you are doing great too! Congrats!
The Biggest Loser is crazy right now. I really don't want anybody on the blue team to win, but I don't see that happening. Vicki is ruining that show!

  17. Congratulations on your weight loss!
I totally agree that Amy made a stupid decision to vote Colleen off. That girl had placed herself in a pretty good position, then BAM goes and does something stupid like that.
    Have a great weekend!

  19. WAY cool on the 1.5 loss!! Good job! And H2O IS the way to go - I know, cheezy, but that is what I have to keep telling myself!

And, yeah, I HATE that Colleen is gone ... SOOOOOO shoulda been Vicki! But I do love me some Jillian. If she is not threatening to beat you with your own arms, she is making ya cry with words of inspiration. But the language this week was so disappointing! Bummer!

amy is stupid...she will NOT win the biggest loser, but let's hope it's not any of those blue buttheads either lol wow, michelle & renee have their work cut out for them to stay there, but i'm hoping the good will prevail over evil.
