Something Colorful
I am working on a home decor project for fall, which involves mod podging paper onto wood. So I had to visit several scrap booking stores to find just the right paper. I love all the beautiful colors and patterns of paper. I love paper, and it makes me want to buy a few more sheets... though I really don't need them!
Light
For my birthday last weekend we went on a trip to Bryce Canyon. My favorite part of my birthday was visiting Sunset Point in Bryce just as the sun went down. It was so lovely! I love the color of the light in the sky and the softness of the light on the hoodoos.
Contrast that with the harsher light of the mid morning as we were hiking. Bryce Canyon is beautiful in any light, but I have to say I prefer the early evening.
You
While in Bryce Canyon, we took a some family pictures (which you can see in my previous post). Afterwards I jokingly posed for my husband and he snapped this picture. I actually quite like it! This photo was taken at Bryce Point, which is one of my favorite places at Bryce Canyon National Park. Isn't it lovely?
In Motion
This year we actually managed to "Hike the Hoodoos" at Bryce Canyon. We hiked from the canyon rim at Sunset point all the way to the bottom of the canyon and the base of the hoodoos. It was really awesome. The hardest part was keeping our little ones "in motion", but they did surprisingly well. You can tell in this picture that my husband is looking back to see why I am no longer in motion!
Afternoon
Here is the view from Rainbow Point at Bryce Canyon. The high plateaus of Utah and the red rocks are absolutely gorgeous! Hiking in Bryce is a great way to spend your afternoon. Or if you get too tired from hiking, you can spend the afternoon like Miss Aubrey... asleep!
