Scavenger Hunt Sunday {5•13•12}

Sidewalk

In the "downtown" area of my city they have some cool sidewalks that are made of brickwork. I thought they were at least somewhat interesting and went to take some pictures. I was feeling totally uninspired until I came upon this little plant trying to grow up in the middle of the sidewalk.

Inspiring

During the full moon this week, I heard that the moon would be the closest it ever gets to the earth. They were calling it a Super Moon. I found that to be inspiring and went out to take some pictures. I love photographing the moon!

Time

Today at our house it was birthday time! We had a monster birthday bash for my son Jonah, who turns six tomorrow! I can't believe he is getting so big! Time sure flies, doesn't it? We had so much fun with the monster theme for our party. I especially loved our little "photo booth" where the kids got to wear monster smiles and get their pictures taken.

Close Up

One of my neighbors has these lovely orange poppies that remind me of Wyoming because they used to grow wild on the farm where I grew up. So I had to go to her house and use my macro lens to get a closeup!

With Mirror

Since we had a busy week getting ready for our birthday festivities, this picture is from the archives. For some reason there is often various construction equipment parked not too far from our house. I let my son climb up on this one so I could take his picture. The pictures I loved best was when I caught his reflection in the truck's mirror.
