Halloween is Over!

Is it just me, or did Halloween seem to drag on and on this year?! Maybe it is because my kids have been dressing up for various activities since the Tuesday before Halloween! Then we had the whole Halloween weekend full of events before Halloween even arrived!

Not that I don't enjoy Halloween, but I think I am done dressing up for a while! Here are some of the various costumes we have donned this Halloween season.

Here are all my boys dressed up as zombies (ala Plants vs. Zombies game) for our trunk or treat. We had two cone head zombies and a balloon zombie... very hard to kill!

Here I am dressed up as a sunflower, with my little ladybug. The sunflower costume goes with the Plants vs. Zombies AND the ladybug. I was even multi-tasking with my costume!

Earlier in the week, I dressed up my kids in their applique ghost shirts for some cute pictures.

Of course there was the pumpkin carving... it turns out my boys are not fans of pumpkin goop. My youngest boy said that the pumpkin guts "smelled like poop". They both refused to even touch the stuff, so I had to do it myself!

Guess it's a good thing that we discovered milk jug ghosts. I think we may be doing them more often in the future, though our jack o' lantern did turn out pretty cool.

Finally on Monday my boys dressed up in their old standby costumes to go trick or treating with friends. They were Buzz Lightyear(s).

That's right. I own TWO Buzz Lightyear costumes with wings. They had a fabulous time trick or treating, and got way too much candy!

So how was your Halloween? I think I am going to have my kids exchange some candy for cash at our dentist's office. Otherwise they will be on a sugar high for weeks!

  1. Very cute! Those milk jug ghosts look a lot easier and so cool! We only "did" Halloween on Halloween, but that was more than enough for me.

  2. I made the mistake of taking both my boys costume shopping together and they both wanted to be Iron Man and then when it came down to it, my youngest decided Woody would be better!

All the kids look so great and I just love the ghost shirt shots! So cute!
