Day 133
May 13: For his birthday I made Jonah this Buzz Lightyear cake and Little green men cupcakes. He thought it was awesome!Day 134
May 14: Today we went to the pool and the boys had a blast! I sort-of wish that I had been brave enough to take my camera to the pool... but I'm not. So here is a picture of the mountains I took on our way home.Day 135
May 15: Would you believe me if I told you that I had over a dozen bikes in my garage last night? Most of them were brand new too! Honey Daddy and I got my parents into cycling. This month they bought two folding bikes to put in my Dad's airplane so they can take them on trips. Then they also upgraded to two newer, faster bikes! What can I say, it's addicting!Day 136
May 16: It was a beautiful day so we walked to church. On the way both of the boys were picking up dandelions so they could blow the fluff off. Little Eli picked a dandelion and then skipped off to catch up with Daddy... scattering seeds as he went. It was so precious that I wanted to hang onto that moment, so when he is all grown up I can remember this adorable towheaded boy of mine.Day 137
May 17: Today we went to the zoo and had SO much fun. Jonah said that his favorite part is the large elephant statue that makes funny noises. Eli says it is "carries!", which is "scary" for those of you that don't speak his language. Both of the boys LOVED the carousel. I actually had to pry Jonah off the pole of his zebra.
Day 138
May 18: Having boys sure does change a girl! I never really liked bugs, but my boys think they are fascinating. So now I find myself running towards bugs so I can put them in jars for the boys to see, rather than running away. Here is our first victimDay 139
May 19: This week it has been raining on and off. It's driving me crazy, but most of my plants don't seem to mind! Aren't my irises pretty?Day 140
May 20: Here is the reason that I am late posting today... I almost didn't post at all. I have had a fever most of the day and feel like roadkill. No nausea or cold symptoms, just muscle aches, fever and a headache. It's so hard to be the Mommy and be sick. Luckily for me Honey Daddy helped out a ton this afternoon. Now I am off to get some sleep so I can feel better tomorrow!Hosted by Cecilyand Mom24

Well, I'm glad you were able to post -- I hope you're okay.
ReplyDeleteClearly I haven't been to the zoo in a while -- I didn't know they had a carousel...
That picture of the mountains is BEAUTIFUL, and I love kids and dandelions.
In fact, that's the ONLY way I like dandelions (usually they are the viper in my Eden)
Get better!
great set!
ReplyDeleteThe birthday cake. WOW! well done.
dang it....I can never remember all the shots once I get on the comment page. I do remember enjoying all your pics though. :)
great pictures. hope you feel better soon. I know what it's like to be sick and trying to take care of kiddos... it seems like it's been my life more these last few months than ever. hope no one else gets your funk and you get some rest
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI love that big elephant! My oldest wanted his bedroom decorated in elephants, so I took pictures of the elephant carvings on the giant elephant, turned them a little sepia color, and framed them for his room! Sure was a cheap way to decorate!
Oh, and your iris is beautiful!!
You are a brave woman, holding that bug.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope that you feel better soon. :)
GREAT looking great!!
ReplyDeleteI love the little cupcakes!!
What did you use for their eyes??
Leslie
I grew up with three brothers and I have a son...but I still hate bugs. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better. Great pictures! It must be wonderful living so close to the mountains. The iris is beautiful. I have that exact color in my yard.
