What are fire trucks doing at the cemetery?
I was a little confused because I couldn't think of anything that could possibly be on fire... but my boys definitely weren't confused, they were excited!
Look at the firetrucks, Mommy! Wow! Look at all the hoses!
Of course we had to stop and
We stayed long enough to watch the firemen turn on the fire hydrant and spray some water out one of the hoses! It was perfect entertainment for two little boys and we didn't even have to be in danger to see it.
I am sure that the firemen were entertained too. I had tried to look nonchalant by driving around the cemetery a little, but I think that pointing my camera with its big lens out my window while the boys cheered from the backseat probably blew it for me. Oh well!
Did you ever find out what they were doing there? I'm glad the kids got a little show though!
ReplyDeleteSounds like some all-natural boy fun to me! It reminds me of the time we were leaving the hospital after my daughter was getting tubes in her ears and my son, then about 2, had to stop and watch the front loaders move dirt around at the construction site nearby. :o)
ReplyDeleteCouldn't have been more perfect entertainment if you had paid for it. ;)
ReplyDeleteThere is definitely something about little boys and fire trucks.
ReplyDeleteThey all seem to love them.
so much fun... I so would have stopped too and let the boys watch
ReplyDeleteMy older kids still enjoy watching a firetruck in action!
ReplyDeleteHa Ha!
ReplyDeleteWith two boys, i wouldn't have even tried to be discreet... boys love trucks, that would be all the excuse you need!!
that's so funny! interesting place for them to work. :)
ReplyDeleteThat would make me pull over too! How odd!
ReplyDeleteThere are some things that never fail to excite and delight, even when we "grow up": Firetrucks, dinosaur stuff, cupcakes and cowboys!
ReplyDeleteYep. I'm guessing that a was a BIG giveaway! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my oldest would have LOVED that! Especially from the comfort of the car!
ReplyDeleteI would be stopping too , just to watch and take photos!
ReplyDeleteso much fun. my son would love to experience something like that. a home is being built behind our house. he has enjoyed watching the men work. take care.
