What?! You don't think that's very warm? You would probably stay inside? (You pansy!)
I guess Honey Daddy must be made of sterner stuff. When he got home from work Friday afternoon and it was still warm, this is what he did:
He had just gotten his bike back from the shop after getting brand new shifters because his were malfunctioning. So he had to take it out for a spin, right?
Of course he has the proper gear for cold-weather riding. Doesn't everyone?
Then on Saturday it was sunny and the temperature got above freezing again. So Honey Daddy decided it would be a good time to go out and wash our cars. Especially since it is not supposed to rain or snow for at least a week around here.
Jonah is such a little outdoors-boy, that there was no way I could keep him from going outside to help his daddy. Just look at how excited he is!
Aren't I lucky that no matter what the weather I get to have a nice, clean car?
So here's to the stalwart that don't let the weather get them down or get in the way! Who cares if some silly, over-sized rodent says we will have six more weeks of winter (isn't that what he ALWAYS says?)? I say go outside and enjoy the (very) fresh air!
Yet Another Jay and Deb Production.
Go check out what Jay is doing to support children's cancer research,
so none of us has to lose a precious child like Tuesday Whitt.
I think it is funny that your heat wave is our frigid moments! What is better than taking advantage of a heat up with a great workout??
ReplyDeleteI always have to laugh on Groundhog Day because it's so completely pointless ~ we have another guaranteed 6-8 weeks of winter regardless of what he sees!!! Man, I can hardly wait till the temps go above freezing on a consistent basis!!! (Although I have been walking even on the nastiest days... NO PANSIES HERE!!)
ReplyDeleteMy Hubz gets out in all kinds of weather! He was at the golf course yesterday, even though many of the greens have ice on them! I need it to get a little bit warmer...say, 40 degrees?...before I venture out big-time!
ReplyDeleteHe is definitely tougher than I...and what a cute little helper he has!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! He looks adorable and no wonder you let the little guy go out and help. What a sweet tribute.
ReplyDeleteYour little one is such a cutie! I gotta say, I wouldn't not be so brave as to ride a bike in that cold weather, but good for your husband!
ReplyDeleteClean car? Don't know what that looks like....
ReplyDeleteLove those shots, and I'm glad you have a hearty one because I tend to burrow in and hunker down when it's cold.
ReplyDeleteWow, that sounds like a warm day to me! LOL!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhh, I remember those 'shirt sleeve' days above freezing when we lived in Colorado. LOL. Now, that we retired and living on the beach, getting below 50 is freezing. Yep, I'm now what you call a pansy. A wuss. [giggles]
ReplyDeleteThat Jonah is absolutely adorable!!!!! What a cutie.
Thanks for visiting me.
You guys are definitely tougher than we are. It got to 50 on Friday and we went to the park, but the 30s are definitely inside weather in our house.
ReplyDeleteNo one washes my van...it's like the Black Sheep of our Auto Family. No one wants to claim it and the kids pretend they don't know who is belongs to. BAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteWhat sweeties you have:)
look at him!!! Brrr
ReplyDeleteMy husband rides in the cold too. I think I'll leave that to him and stay on the stationary bike until spring. I wouldn't be warm until June if I tried to ride in the cold.
ReplyDeletetoo cute! my boys would fit in well at your house. i sent the youngest to the busstop (ice and snow all over the ground) in shorts and a hoodie!
ReplyDeleteOh I love it!!! We had a "heat wave" Sunday too and my hubby washed/waxed/cleaned the car. Then forgot to put the car in the garage last night and it SNOWED!!! He was sooo mad :) I agree it is nice to have a clean car no matter what the weather!!
ReplyDeleteJessica
I can't believe he washed cars while it was 30 something outside! I would die.....its 55 for the high down here in Tampa today and I'm freezing cold. I just can't handle it! :)
ReplyDeleteWow - your hubby really is made of stern stuff! I can't imagine bike riding in this weather - I'm such a wimp! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed! I'm the pansy who'd be inside drinking coffee. :)
ReplyDeleteCute car washer - I love the snow in the background!
ReplyDeleteThe weather here is lovely. I love seeing the sunshine again. I can't wait until spring!
ReplyDeleteAnd it HAS been beautiful. We washed both of our cars. Love the pictures. Honey Daddy is awesome to ride his bike! Go Honey Daddy!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos and LOVE the new look here :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting about what Jay is doing for Tuesday. What a great guy and a beautiful little soul.
