Not the Biggest Loser!

I can't believe that it is almost time for my Friday weigh-in again! I can honesty say that I am a little bit scared this week. I haven't been exercising nearly as much as I should and then there were the two Marie Callendar's pies in the refrigerator... chocolate satin and key lime. SO good! But not so good for me!

I have been trying to eat healthy the rest of the time, but I don't think that having a slice of pie nearly every evening is going to help me out in the losing weight department. We'll see what the dreaded scale says in the morning!

Weight: +1 pound (darn pie!)
Goal: lose 5 pounds before Halloween!! (Just say NO to Halloween candy!)

I hope to do better at exercising this next week. This weekend my husband and I are doing a bike ride for breast cancer. I just hope we don't get rained out!

I was SO happy about this week's Biggest Loser! I was so afraid that Colleen was going to fall below the yellow line and get sent home. If you read my post last week, you know that I am not too upset about the Orange Team falling below the yellow line. I was happy that they decided to send Ed home instead of Heba, especially considering the reason they were there: to get healthy enough to be able to have children.

I have to say that after the reward challenge this week I like the brown team a little bit more. I was impressed that Vicky held on for so long so she could get a care package from her kids. I still like the red team, but right now there isn't a particular player that I am rooting for.

What did you think? How did you do this week?

  1. as you know, i'm glad one of orange is gone, too...i still don't like the brown team. some of those others don't seem like they really want to be there. i like colleen well enough and the red team. it'll be interesting when it's everyone for themselves. i haven't gotten my hfh post ready yet, i still have to do a flash fiction for tomorrow lol

  2. We won't talk about me...

I did not like that NBC split the show over two nights...ugh. And I loved Jillian's blow up! If only I could afford her rates...

Oh and I love the new look of the blog!

  3. Hopefully next week will be better for both of us! I did so well last week so I was hoping that would motivate me to stick with it this week. Unfortunately it didn't. I didn't even try. Next week will be better!

  4. OK, I couldn't read most of your post 'cause I haven't watched the show yet (gotta love DVR's), but now I know where to go to dish on Biggest Loser when I do.

Did see the Tues. episode though, and Jillian can yell at me anytime to get my fanny movin'!

  6. At least you ate yummy pie & didn't gain too much! I am sure you will lose it this week, especially with the bike ride! Have fun with that. As for the Biggest Loser, I did like the brown team better this week. I thought it was great that Vicky hung on in the challenge. I have liked the red team all along too. There aren't really any that I dislike yet. There were a bunch last season! I am sure I will find some this season again as time goes on.

  8. I've been doing some online reading about going "raw" or vegan and the results are amazing. I don't think I could ever go 100% raw because I drink/use milk and eat chicken/fish/and eggs but even going partically raw should have a great effect on ones body.

on a sidenote, do you take Omega-3 suppliments, you might want to look into them.

I'm trying so hard during my pregnancy to stay healthy, and honestly, all I want is a damn cookie.

  9. I'm glad Ed is gone; he's harsh, I didn't like him much.

And I'm trying to lose weight too. Very courageous of you to put your weekly update online. I should do that. What is your diet/exercise plan? How much are you trying to lose?

  13. Resisting the sweets is the hardest thing for me when I am trying to watch my weight. There is carrot cake in our fridge right now....EEK! Hope you have a nice bike ride for breast cancer this weekend.

  15. The pie sounds yummy! I have a problem eating too much pumpkin pie this time of year.

I have to say my favorite part of the show was Jillian blowing up at her teams. I think at times she is hard on them but for them not to have done any workout (or homework as she called it) they deserved it. They just don't seem to be as committed as past years.
