A Comedy of Errors

Isn't it refreshing to be brutally honest about the things that really happen in our day to day lives? Brutally honest in a not me, I did not kind of way, that is. So in the interest of almost full disclosure, here's what happened this week:

I did not leave my six-month old in pajamas the entire day. Not me! That would just be lazy.

Just a few days later I certainly did not leave my baby in the same clothes for approximately 36 hours because that would be gross.

I did not lock myself out of the house with the baby inside again and have to retrieve the spare key to get back inside. I'm not that forgetful, right?

At the craft store with my husband I absolutely did not notice that may baby spit up directly on the linoleum floor. And I most certainly did not just walk away with him because we had no burp cloth with us to clean it up. That would just be disgusting.

I did not blow my diet by eating a piece of pie nearly every evening this week, because I have unlimited willpower.

It absolutely did not snow here this morning! Fall is not coming to a close and winter is certainly not on it's way!

I did not participate in a 20 mile bike ride for breast cancer in the rain, cold and snow. I also did not just practically beg you to go look at my post about it below.

I absolutely did not just look at MckMama's blog and freak out because she posted Not Me! Monday before I was finished with my post and there were already over 60 links up on her blog carnival. That would mean that I am obsessed with my blog and getting comments, and I'm not that pathetic, right?

Speaking of my blog, I completely redesigned my blog all by myself! My sister absolutely did not help in any way, shape or form.

  2. I haven't ever locked myself out of the house but I can Never find my keys so that is probably why. I hate to admit this, but I leave my door unlocked a lot. (I must live around trust worthy people or my things aren't all that great, because nothing has ever happened.)

  3. I am so lucky that our front door cannot lock without a key because that would so be me. Of course I have Never locked each and everyone of my four children in the car on seperate occasions.... AFTER buckling them into their carseats. And I didn't do it with my 1st child with the enigine running.

  6. I have an absolute fear of locking myself out of the house. My 2 year old shouts, "Got your keys?" every time I shut the door behind us!
Beautiful blog! I'm so glad your sister didn't help you at all!

  10. I would never leave my 6 month old in the same footie pajamas for that long either! That would be either very irresponsible of me, or I really think she is entirely too cute in said pajamas.

And I have never ignored baby spit up on the floor at the grocery store either! Oh no, I most certainly stop and wipe up spit up with the nasty dirty tissue in my jacket pocket.

Oh, and I have never had to call our real estate agent to open up the lockbox with our house key in it because I locked our whole family out of the house. That would be silly and irresponsible.

  13. Thanks for the comment! Isn't it refreshing to see that it isn't "just us" that does certain things?!

I too have locked myself out of the house so many times that my hubby has given copies of our key to the neighbors!! This last time, I was standing on our front deck, in my nighttime t-shirt, waiting for our girls to get on the school bus. I tried to make it back in the house before the bus pulled up but the door was locked! I was stuck outside at 7:25 a.m. with nothing but a t-shirt on! I WAS NOT about to walk to our neighbors house so I waited until they came out to get their paper, almost an hour later, and asked them for some help...so embarassing!

Your blog is great& thanks again :)

Library Sparks magazine and Books Kids will Sit still for are my go to materials!

We love books in our house as is evidenced by my librarything.com/karinkath catalog (even though more than half our books are in storage and I still haven't entered all of our picture books that are in this house).
