My older kids still take a "rest" from their busy play activities by watching a movie and I let them have some juice in a take 'n' toss sippy cup...that way my carpet isn't red/orange/blue but the color it was meant to be. They enjoy having a choice (don't we all?) I do usually dilute mine too...I don't think my kids know what **real** Kool-Aid is supposed to taste like! I like your containers though, maybe I should do that, they look prettier than mine do. We also give them a choice of some Gatoraid powder to mix in too (we have that around because my DH loves it when he is outside doing a project!).Jeanettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13668277818534796539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7114096620422200175.post-36164963171970784982008-07-24T22:06:00.000-06:002008-07-24T22:06:00.000-06:00our four sons:Sometimes sippy cups are nice for th...our four sons:

Sometimes sippy cups are nice for the convenience factor, regardless of the age of your kids. My sister's five year old still uses a sippy cup (especially in the car).

I actually don't give my little boy THAT much Kool-Aid. He drinks plenty of milk and juice (thanks for your concern!)... he probably only drinks one cup of Kool-Aid or less per day. That's why it's nice not to have to mix up an entire package of Kool-Aid and leave it in the fridge.

And as the others have said... you can dilute it a lot and it's basically like flavored water. Kids need to drink plenty of liquids in the hot summer and sometimes it is easier to get them to drink water with a little bit of flavor in it.

Thanks for the question.Honey Mommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11459390034138213074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7114096620422200175.post-84224311464543067872008-07-24T19:32:00.000-06:002008-07-24T19:32:00.000-06:00I hate to ask...but why do you give kool-aid to ki...I hate to ask...but why do you give kool-aid to kids young enough to use sippy cups when they need at least 3 cups of milk and 1 cup of 100% juice per day?Brookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12663075949467388697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7114096620422200175.post-34352629064770907172008-07-24T00:30:00.000-06:002008-07-24T00:30:00.000-06:00This is such a great idea! My son is still pretty small so I do a lot of extra water and it could be changed accordingly!Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10517064064201085084noreply@blogger.com
